Account Blocked After Verification – Funds Withheld
IgnoredHi all,
I’d really appreciate some advice on a situation I’m currently dealing with involving bwin.
Several years ago, when I was around 16–17, I made a poor decision and registered an account using a false date of birth. I deposited €35 at the time, lost it, and didn’t use the account again — I considered the matter closed.
Fast forward to about a month ago, I decided to return to the platform. I’m now fully of legal age, but I didn’t realise that my account still had the incorrect date of birth on file.
I deposited €400 and lost it. Then another €400 — also lost. After that, I deposited €900. My balance dropped to around €750, at which point I decided to stop and withdraw the remaining funds.
I submitted my ID for verification, which was approved the following day via email. However, immediately after that, my account was blocked.
They are now refusing to return the remaining balance, stating that I originally registered as a minor years ago. The only money they refunded was the initial €35 deposit from back then — the rest has effectively been withheld.
I’ve tried contacting them multiple times via email and phone, but I keep getting the same response and no resolution. They’ve made it clear they won’t reconsider their decision.
What makes this even more frustrating is that I didn’t profit — I actually lost a significant amount overall and was simply trying to withdraw what was left of my own deposits.
At this point, it feels like I have no way forward. Communication has been extremely difficult, and I’m not getting any clear answers.
Has anyone experienced something similar, or can suggest what I should do next?
